Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Bureaucrat Note: HBH, I commend you for your persistence. It’s great to see you trying again. Also, you are getting better at making the RfR. Unfortunately, there are some technical problems with this request that you will have to fix. I cannot help you directly in fixing them as the ability to follow the instructions at ATW:RFR precisely is the minimum requirement for obtaining Admin privileges. If one were to help you, then you would not have demonstrated that ability yourself. However, I will give you some general guidance for how to fix this request:

Unfortunately, there are some technical problems with this request that you will have to fix. I cannot help you directly in fixing them as the ability to follow the instructions at ATW:RFR precisely is the minimum requirement for obtaining Admin privileges. If one were to help you, then you would not have demonstrated that ability yourself. However, I will give you some general guidance for how to fix this request: * There are parts missing from this page. If you had used the input box located at the top of ATW:RFR, this would not have happened. Anyway, if you look at any recently, successfully completed requests for RFR — you can see what I’m talking about and fix this. * For example, your request is not transcluding so that an entry appears in the ATW:RFR table of contents. * You placed your transclusion — — in the wrong spot over at ATW:RFR. If you pay especially close attention to the hidden comments, visible only when editing, you’ll see where new requests go and also the phrase, Please do not edit anything below this line, which you did. * Signature: I know we discussed the size of your signature recently, but what I failed to notice at that time was the color of your signature. At most wikis on Wikia.com, that color is reserved for Bureaucrats (see MediaWiki:Common.css/hilite under “Bureaucrats”). Would you choose a different color, please? You will find a bunch to choose from at Web colors. Good luck with the above! — SpikeToronto 17:49, May 8, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I have changed it and my signature color. Thanks, Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 18:13, May 8, 2011 (UTC) Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Bureaucrat Note: Thank you for fixing the transclusion. Your signature still appears to be "#7ACAFH", which is still too close in look to our official cyan or turquoise "#66aaff". Also, I shouldn't even be commenting here without a "Comments" section, and it would be tough to close this request without the other section. — Jeff G. ツ 23:37, May 8, 2011 (UTC) Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Like Jeff, I cannot perceive a change of colour. Since you seem to like that colourway, how about trying either MidnightBlue or Indigo? Also, as Jeff hinted, this page — Admin Tools Wiki:Requests for rights/Head.Boy.Hog/6 — still has techinical faults (i.e., missing items) that must be fixed. Slowly and carefully look at one of the successful RFRs to see what that might be. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 01:23, May 9, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I just did move the request to the right space. I didn't do it a few minutes ago...Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 18:24, May 8, 2011 (UTC) Thank you for fixing that. It is always important when you are editing a page that you pay careful attention to any hidden comments that you find when you enter edit mode. — SpikeToronto 01:23, May 9, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I also changed the color of the link to my talk page. I forgot that too. Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 18:26, May 8, 2011 (UTC) You should avoid any use of Red since it is too close to the same color that the wikisoftware uses for red links. So, having the link to your talkpage be that color sends the message to other users that your talkpage does not exist, when in fact it does. — SpikeToronto 01:23, May 9, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I have changed my signature and added the missing sections. What could be missing is that I didn't include why I wanted the rights. Well, I want the rights because I believe I need to be an admin on a more active test wiki then the Test Admin since I am an admin and bureaucrat on the Hogwarts Roleplay Wiki, like I hope I mentioned, and we are getting alot more users. Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 22:10, May 9, 2011 (UTC) For some reason, I can't get the Bureaucrats' closing notes and conclusions heading to actually show as a heading. I don't know why. Could you please help? Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 22:16, May 9, 2011 (UTC) The heading problem is because you did not use the input box at ATW:RFR to create this page. The missing hidden comment would fix it. — SpikeToronto 23:23, May 9, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I fixed it. Is there anything else that is wrong with it? Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 00:08, May 10, 2011 (UTC) It works on the actual RfR page but not on the sub page. Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Bureaucrat Note: This edit didn’t fix anything. The heading was already showing okay at ATW:RFR. Removing the linebreak only serves to make that page harder for the ’crats to maintain. Re-read my comment; the problem is not on that page, it is on this page. Finally, take a step back and look at this page. An RfR is not supposed to go like this. This page is already approaching 10,000 bytes, and the only discussion or review so far has been technical. A properly done RfR should have no discussion about technical issues with the RfR itself, and only have discussion about the candidate’s request; and, it should be less than half the size that this one already is (see here for an example). Don’t get me wrong: I am impressed that you’re sticking with it and have made every effort to fix the various issues. I also hope that that means along the way you’re learning things about how wikis work. However, if you had used the input box and followed the instructions, there would have been no technical errors. Other applicants have also failed to use the input box, but were able to more or less fix the request themselves. At the outset, you might have found it easier to have had two windows open to ATW:RFR, using one to do the actual inputting, and the other to keep referring back to the instructions. Thank you for the changes to your signature. Unfortunately, your new color is almost exactly the one reserved for Wikia staff. Don’t hate me for this: it’s really true! And you’re not Wikia staff … Anyway, Wikia.com really limits the colors available to us because of the user highlighting function (see here for the list and colors). Why don’t you create a subpage in your own userspace at User:Head.Boy.Hog/Signatures, try out a bunch of colors, let me know when you’re done (but not here on this RfR), and I’ll help you choose one. — SpikeToronto 03:37, May 10, 2011 (UTC) Wow. Lots and lots of updates. Anyway, isn't it lovely to see that Head.Boy.Hog is trying very hard to become an administrator here! (I really have not a lot of say in the matter, so...) Good luck! — Jempcorp {user page | talk} 05:41, May 10, 2011 (UTC). Sadly, the merits of the request cannot even be considered until the request itself is letter perfect, technically. As I said above, that is the threshold requirement here at ATW. I only hope that HBH realizes that he is not being singled out; that the rules apply equally to everyone, just as they applied to us when we made application for adminship. I also would like to remind HBH that this offer from his last RfR still stands. — SpikeToronto 06:25, May 10, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I fixed it. Is there anything else missing? And I won't sign with a custom signature. Like you suggested, SpikeToronto, I will create that subpage for my signatures. Head.Boy.Hog 11:25, May 10, 2011 (UTC) Image:Ambox notice.svg UPDATE: I cancel my request and will re-request rights after my admin coaching with SpikeToronto. Thanks, Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 21:57, May 17, 2011 (UTC)Bureaucrats' closing notes and conclusions Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Bureaucrat Note: Withdrawn per this edit. — Jeff G. ツ 03:23, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
