| - Broadside is an achievement in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It requires the player to hit an Imp Cannon with a coconut from a Coconut Cannon. It is worth 10 points in Game Center for iOS devices and 1,000 XP on Android devices.
- A Broadside is a ship ability in Empire: Total War. It is term used for an action in naval battles where manual firing of the cannons is employed. Barring the Rocket Ship (as it has no cannons to speak of), the Galley and the Light Galley, any ship can use the broadside ability.
- Broadside most commonly refers to the firing of all the cannons on one side of a ship. It also may refer to either the literal 'broad side' of the ship (meaning the port and starboard sides of the ship), or the ammount of guns on either side. Most professional naval gun crews can deliver a broadside of fire every 2-5 minutes, while a pirate crew usually boards after firing and doesn't bother reloading.

- Broadside's bio presented him as literally getting the worst possible out of his alternate modes. He transforms into an Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, but gets seasick. He transforms into an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet but doesn't like heights. Despite these handicaps, he is a brave warrior in battle.

- A broadside is the side of a ship; the battery of cannon on one side of a warship; or their simultaneous (or near simultaneous) fire in naval warfare.
- Doesn't like transforming into carrier or jet - gets seasick on water, and has a fear of heights. Nevertheless he is an effective, valiant warrior, but other Autobots wish he wouldn't complain so much. Expands to 1200 feet in length as Aircraft Carrier, capable of landing jets, and carrying other Autobots. 15,000 mile range, 40 knot maximum speed. Projects 80,000 volt electric field around himself in jet mode. Has high-energy, plasma-pulse gun and shattering vibro-axe in robot mode.
- BROADSIDE is very uncomfortable about transforming to aircraft carrier or jet mode, and with good reason. Floating on water upsets his gyro-balance circuitry, making him feel as if he's functioning at less than peak performance - the mechanical equivalent of seasickness. And he's even more distressed while flying since he has a natural fear of heights. He strongly detests these Earthen forms and is quite vocal about it. But, despite everything, he manages to overcome these problems in battle. He is an effective and valiant warrior, and his fellow Autobots value him for these qualities. They just wish Broadside would do his job without griping so much about it.
