Guangzhou Metro is the underground rail system for the city of Guangzhou in the province of Guangdong. It is the 4th oldest metro system in China, started operating at 1997. It is the metro system that has the 6th highest daily ridership, after the systems of Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, and Moscow. Guangzhou Metro currently has nine lines under operation, including Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 5, Line 6, Line 8, APM Line, Gunagfo Line Guangzhou Section.
