The book does not use the narrative style employed by the Ultima VI, Ultima VII, and Ultima VII Part Two clue books; although, it does contain narrated sections by Remvatos, The Observer, who claims to be the son of Apathas, the God of Balance on Pagan. Unlike previous clue books, it offers no unique artwork.
