Madame Weigel's 4135; published in Madame Weigel's Journal of Fashion October 2, 1916; Lady's sports coat, with or without smocking. Here we have a sports coat in new guise. It is made full in the lower part in the prevailing style of all coats. The upper part is ornamented by smocking, which is repeated at the wrist, near the turned back cuff. A sailor collar trims the coat at the neck and a pocket is attached at each side. The smocking may be omitted if preferred, and the fronts and wrists simply gathered.
