Bataar Racing is a sport found played on the western and northern coats of the Inland Sea. It will be conducted on a long sandy stretch, often between the wharfs of the city or settlement which those wharfs serve. Bataars are enormous racing lizards. They are restrained at one end of the straight track until the start of the race, when they fly down towards a staked Goblin or other unfortunate at the other end. The first Bataar to set teeth into the creature is the winner. In the late third century AC three particular Bataar won fame for their speed and ferociousness, Fazima, Awkspeed and el-Savak.
