Judau Ashta (ジュドー・アーシタ, Judō Āshita) is the main protagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. He is a junk dealer who eventually becomes a mobile suit pilot. His sister Leina was captured by Neo Zeon, sending him on a long rescue mission. At the end of the series following his victory over Haman Karn, he prepares to go to Jupiter alone until he is reunited with Leina.

- Judau Ashta (ジュドー・アーシタ Judō Āshita?) is the 14-year old protagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. He later returns under the alias Grey Stoke (グレイ・ストーク Gurei Sutōku) and is a supporting character in both Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Skull Heart and Mobile Suit Victory Gundam Side Story.
- A member of the Shangri-La Junk Guild, Judau is recruited by Yazan Gable in an attempt to steal the Zeta Gundam from the recently docked Argama. Angered by his employer's disregard for human life, and unsettled by a meeting with the comatose Kamille Bidan, Judau turns on Yazan and following several more attempts at stealing the Zeta, is eventually recruited by Bright as the leader of the Argama's new Gundam team. Despite his initial disinterest, he rapidly matures into a capable leader who tries to get the best from his team.

- He is a rather typical of a Gundam protagonist, the beginning of the series shows him growing as a poor junk dealer at the space colony of Shangrila in Side 1. He's rather loudmouthed and straightfoward but has a good heart and displays Newtype abilities. Unlike most Gundam protagonists, he is optimistic and happy-go-lucky, instead of being anti-social or brooding (Amuro Ray and Kamille Bidan being prime examples). Judau is a young teenage boy enthralled with mobile suits and an avid supporter of the AEUG. He also has a younger sister Leina, whom he might catfight repeatedly with, but still cares very deeply for.
