| - The Couatl is a monster in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer. Its weaker version is the young couatl, stronger is the winged serpent.
- A Lawful Good creature. Named after Quetzlcoatl, the Aztec deity.
- The benevolent couatl lives in warm forests, willing to offer aid to those whose intentions are genuine.
- Couatls are radiant, winged serpents, born from the blood of Syberis. When Khyber's fiendish spawn overran Eberron, the coualt fled and hid for a million years. Eventually, they were contacted by the dragons, and together declared war on the demons. As the dragons fought, the couatls sacrificed themselves to bind the 40 greatest demons- the dark lords who would eventualy become known as the Lord of Dust- and imprison them beneath Eberron. Couatls are now virtually unknown, and are presumed extinct.

Couatle jednak istnieją. Mają postać dużych, długich na 4 metry węży o pierzastych, barwnych skrzydłach. Ponieważ mają wrodzoną zdolność polimorfii, czasem można je spotkać pod postacią innych dobrych istot. Mają zdolności telepatyczne i psioniczne, władają też wieloma językami wężowych i ptasich istot.
- Found on Azeroth and in the Emerald Dream, couatl are large flying magical beasts (DF 193) with serpentine (and bird-like) features used by the naga for aerial support. Distantly related to wind serpents, couatl are rare creatures of great strength. Couatl are distinguished from their smaller cousins by their immense size (nearly twice the length of a normal wind serpent) and the brilliant display of bright yellow and green plumage across their heads and backs in two long rows. Their shorter, feathered tails serve to further distinguish them from wind serpents. Lastly, their wings are much greater and bear more feathers. - The couatl, A, is the weakest of the angelic beings. It is one of the few non-sea monsters to possess a drowning attack. This is usually irrelevant, but can be deadly if the couatl happens to be on a square containing water (it needs to be on the water, not just next to it). It will use its crushing attack when presented with an opportunity and being an Angelic being, it does not respect Elbereth.
