The Pärtridge Fämily was one of the first Scandinavian heavy metal bands to break into the North American market. Although their music is utterly bereft of merit, they somehow rocketed to success during the early 1970s. This implausible popularily is commonly attributed to subliminal messages within their music, a keen fashion sense and a protracted bombing campaign by their paramilitary "fan club". Contrary to popular belief, The Pärtridge Fämily was not the result of genetic cross breeding between people and birds -- that's Flock of Seagulls.

  • The Partridge Family are nothing but a super fake family who really want to be (also known as wannabes) like The Brady Bunch. Only two members of the family sing and the others just mime and lip-synch. For the other members, singers are used instead and probably session musicians are used for the instruments.
  • The show premiered on September 25, 1970 and lasted until March 23, 1974 after four seasons and 96 episodes. In order to help promote the show, the Partridge Family released a series of albums from 1970 to 1973. The show is also known for making David Cassidy a teen idol of the 1970s.
