| - Jeanty is the name of the human child whom the Smurfs encounter in the comic book story "A Child Among The Smurfs". He is a rather bratty child that was dumped onto his uncle Adalbert Lebon, a farmer that was tending to the injuries of Papa Smurf's stork. He ran off into the forest to cause trouble, only to come across Chef Smurf, whom he then chases into the Smurf Village. He continued to cause more trouble by wrecking the village until Papa Smurf gave him a potion that made him hit himself. Afterward, Jeanty pretended that he was the victim of an abusive uncle in the hopes that Papa Smurf would teach him magic in order to defend himself. Papa Smurf, knowing the kind of man that Adalbert Lebon actually was, refused to do so and instead had sent word to him about his nephew. Jeanty eventually came across Gargamel, the Smurfs' main adversary, and offered himself to be the wizard's apprentice. However, during an argument with Gargamel, Jeanty takes his key and frees two of the Smurfs. They escape to the village and tell Papa Smurf about those still imprisoned, but when all of the Smurfs go to rescue them, it turned out to be a trap set by Gargamel and Jeanty to capture the remaining Smurfs. Luckily, Papa Smurf's stork arrived to free the Smurfs, and then Papa Smurf riding on the stork's back faced Gargamel while the others freed the previous prisoners. When the abusive Jeanty kicked Azrael, he mistakenly caused Gargamel's defeat when Azrael fell on his face, which made them fall in a well. After talking with the boy to see if he really wanted to be like Gargamel, Papa Smurf then escorted Jeanty back to Adalbert's farm.
