The Symphony No. 1 in D major, sometimes known as the Titan, is a late Romantic symphony composed by Gustav Mahler in the 19th century. It is scored for a large orchestra and exemplary of Mahler's early style. The second movement of Mahler's First Symphony, a ternary form ländler and trio in the key of A major, was played on the ship-wide comm when Kashyk came aboard USS Voyager in 2375. (VOY: "Counterpoint")
