Tophet or Topheth (Hebrew: תופת ha-tōpheth; Greek: Ταφεθ; Latin: Topheth) is believed to be a location in Jerusalem, in the Valley of Hinnom, where the Canaanites sacrificed children to the god Moloch by burning them alive. After the practice of child sacrifice was outlawed by King Josiah, the valley became a refuse site where animal carcasses, waste and the bodies of criminals were dumped, with fires permanently burning to keep disease at bay. Tophet became a synonym for hell.

- Tophet is a desert planet that SICON planned to use as a base in the Arachid-SICON war. When Razak's Roughnecks first land on the planet, they discovered that it is already home to a species whom the humans would call "Skinnies" due to their tall thin appearance. SICON ends up at war with the Skinnies, who are allied with the Arachnids. Extremely hot and arid, Tophet has high levels of methane gas in its air. This planet is important to the Arachnids because of a resource named Xylon that enable Transport Bugs to travel across interstellar space.
- Created as a mobile prison for the most valuable or dangerous of prisoner tophets have been used in the past as mobile torture chambers when filled with burning hot coals or poisonous vermin.
