  • The New Tyne Air Militia was the aerial component of the Insurrectionist militia of New Tyne, founded by former Venezian UNSC Army D77-TC Pelican pilot turned Insurrectionist Kevin Frantwik in 2545. Although the Air Militia was only at first composed of Frantwik's Pelican, and seven armed civilian aircraft whose owners Frantwik had recruited into the organization. However, with the aid Peter Moritz and Staffan Sentzke, the Air Militia managed to acquire more combat grade aircraft, including seven F/A-440s, and three B-65 Shortsword bombers by 2552. By 2557, the Air Militia had a total of five squadrons of aircraft, although over 50% were either armed military trainers or armed civilian aircraft, as well as a 200-fighter strong militia security detachment, making it by far the largest hub of Insurrectionist aerial power on Venezia at that time. Thanks to intelligence gathered by Insurrectionist informants within the UNSC in 2559, hinting that they might launch an attack on Venezia, the Air Militia was dispersed to hidden airfields around New Tyne, with the objective of not being wiped out in the first days of the possible invasion, which came on July 16th, 2559. As the Air Militia was not destroyed in the initial assault, it began flying missions against the UNSC as soon as the battle began. However, by the 21st, 75% of the Air Militia's aircraft had been lost to various causes, and by the 23rd, it was effectively neutralized.
