We are also registered with Guinness World Book of Records in an attempt to set the record for the largest streaking organization in the world! I will be posting updates as we move closer to the record. World's Largest Streaking Organization. The Atlanta Streaking Society wants to set the record with over 500 documented members. Each member must streak (run completely naked* for at least 30 feet) with one of the 7 executive members in order to gain membership. This record has never been attempted for an organization; this is not an attempt for a single group streak, but a large enough group streak will put us in The Book. The record is based on the number of members (minimum 500) that have chosen to join this group and are documented by a membership roster. Each member has an individual membership ID number and receives a membership card. As of April 21, 2008 we have 109 members, since starting the Society in July of 2007. We are doing this because of our passion to open minds and show, otherwise unaware people, the liberation one gets by streaking. We avoid all illegal acts whenever possible. We are not protesting or rebelling against anything; we are just celebrating our ability to run around naked, together. We are attempting to improve people's quality of life by introducing a liberating way to free one's inhibitions. The act of streaking, as performed by members of the Atlanta Streaking Society, is not illegal, nor in protest to any situation, nor is it anything but positive for all involved. We promote our club through conversations of enlightenment, bonding, new friendships, and stress relief.
