| - ===Origins===
Amethyst originates from a small town located close to the Canadian Rockies. From birth she has always had her unusual appearance, many people even calling it demonic looking whenever they've laid eyes on her. Despite some skeptic citizens Amethyst was able to live a normal life with her mother, who was a single mother living with her parents.
With a comfortable life Amethyst flourished and developed normally as any child, despite her mother having to make due with living with her parents and being a single mother. She went to school, made some friends, and of course began to show interest in activities, particularly dancing and acrobatics. From a young age Amethyst had shown a natural talent for acrobatics, a first sign of her superhuman reflexes and agility, which prompted her family to sign her up in acrobatics. From eight years old until about twelve Amethyst mastered some of the most basics of her gymnastics classes and for a time convinced some skeptics that she wasn't bad as they thought.
Around the same time Amethyst also grew an interest in free form dance, incorporating different styles of dance into her usual routine. But this was often just for a means of a hobby. Though her brief years of happiness and proving people that she wasn't a monster soon began to change, this time it grew to be worse with human-mutant relationships began to become tense. Even in her small town she was some of the few victimized for being different resulting her having to give up gymnastics and hide away to her one sanctuary: home.
Upon turning fifteen Amethyst decided to try and go out in public as she once did. It was a big mistake when some teenagers, at least a handful she had once gone to school with, jumped her and tried to beat Amethyst and turn her in. However, the tables were turned by her secondary power activating. During the beating Amethyst managed to raise a hand when trying to get them to stop, sending one of her 'lunar' bolts at her attackers that sent a few kids a short distance away and causing some injury.
Afraid of the consequences to follow from her unintended actions Amethyst fled back home in hopes of being in a safe place once more. In the months to follow her grandparents and mother were constantly harassed and threatened for harboring a mutant before her mother had to make the tough decision in calling the Jean Grey School Institute. After being extended the invitation to join them Amethyst happily took the chance instead of causing further suffering for her family.

She was there for a few months to continue her education and began to briefly practice in better controlling her various powers. But it wouldn't be long before she was approached by Laurie Tromette to be part of a new team meant to be the next generation of X-men. Though unsure at first Amethyst soon joined the new team, their powers seeming to all be different except for one she met who was Carol Evergreen, both who had demonic-appearances but different secondary powers. Much to her surprise it was discovered they were in fact siblings, also like that of the deceased Nightcrawler.
Personality
For the most part Amethyst is very shy and timid person, especially when she is meeting new people. This leads her to be quiet a lot in conversations, to which she would rather listen for a while unless spoken to. Though this doesn't last forever after she had warmed up to someone or gotten to know them better then she is a whole new person. But when someone does get to know Amethyst she is actually rather talkative and certainly one of the most loyal friends anyone could find.
Though Amethyst doesn't really seem to have a mean bone in her body, which in this case it's quite rare for her to ever show signs of anger. But that doesn't mean she has her own limits when pushed enough, this is when she won't be afraid to snap somebody's head off and it's best to let her cool down for a little while. On another note Amethyst is also known to be protective of those she becomes close to.

| - *Amethyst is an excellent dancer and has shown to have some talent for it. Though she usually prefers free style forms rather then any specific ones.
*She also has shown to have a natural affinity to acrobatics, making use of many of her powers in order to perform even the most difficult feats that might take normal humans years to accomplish.

| - *With her enhanced reflexes and agility she has to time her movements right, especially with wall crawling, to avoid serious injury.Also with wall crawling she has to be mindful of steep surfaces since they might prevent her from climbing, or even a ceiling she has to be on for a limited time or risk falling.
*Her lunar manipulation is her most limiting power, being limited to the amount she absorbs and the how much she makes use of. She must be sparing with this secondary ability and is usually at her strongest during the night when the moon is out.
*Another weakness is Amethyst doesn't blend in well among most groups and is rather weaker then even some average humans.

| - *Superhuman Reflexes:Amethyst has a quicker reaction time than the average human, allowing her to react to short-range to close quarters attacks.
*Superhuman Agility:Amethyst's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are above the finest human athlete, enabling her to perform complex acrobatic maneuvers with little effort.
*Wall-crawling:Amethyst can scale vertical surfaces and, to a point, horizontal ones. This is done due to microscopic suction cups in her fingers and feet.
*Lunar Manipulation:Amethyst developed a secondary mutation allowing her to control and manipulate the energy given off by the moon. She is a walking energy cell in being able to naturally absorb this lunar energy and must be outside or within it's glow for this to work. This enables her to use various powers such as creating a personal force field to surround her body closely, create concussive blasts called "lunar" bolts, energy weapons, and various other energy constructs.
