Keprish was a notorious Scarab criminal and the main villain of The T. Rex Invasion. A member of the ancient Scarab species, Keprish was extremely ruthless and violent, personally responsible for the destruction of numerous inhabited planets and the extinction of twenty-one alien races, also engaging in comparatively petty crimes like peeing in the Scarab Queen's bathtub. When the other Scarabs ended the rogue's reign of terror, they treated him especially viciously, trapping him in a time-sealed pyramid on Sphinx II with his (presumably stolen) treasure, his broken spacecraft, and a large emerald, his brain-stone.They set a series of tests to lure and then kill people who came to free the criminal, torturing Keprish as he watched potential saviours die.

Although the Scarabs assumed that the emerald was nothing but jewelry, it was actually the source of Keprish's psychic power. Any living thing which touched it would be under his complete mental control. When Lord Ganster and his T. rexes came across Keprish's prison and passed most of the tests, Ganster touched the stone and came under Keprish's domination. The alien forced him to call five hundred more T. rexes to the pyramid, who also came under the alien's control and were sealed inside as a potential army. When Teggs, Arx, and Tute arrived a thousand years later and passed the tests, surviving the Scarabs' final death trap, Keprish ordered them to free him. He intended to add the arriving Brigadier Skunch and his T. rexes to his sleeping army and use them to take over the galaxy. After learning about his crimes, the dinosaurs refused, and Keprish had Ganster and a T. rex mummy grab them and force them to touch the brain-stone. Gipsy and Iggy intervened, Gipsy overpowering the hypnotized Ganster while Iggy destroyed Keprish's brain-stone, knocking the alien out. After the astrosaurs dealt with the T. rexes, Keprish's prison was destroyed, freeing him. However, Gipsy dealt with him immediately. A freed Ganster grabbed him, and Teggs agreed to leave Keprish to justice on Teerex Major as punishment for his crimes against the T. rex people. Skunch, Ganster, and their armies left Sphinx II in peace with a helpless Keprish as their prisoner.
