Dean Turner (born June 22, 1958 in Dearborn, Michigan) is a retired American professional ice hockey defenseman who played 35 games in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Rockies, New York Rangers, and Los Angeles Kings. He played college hockey for the Michigan Wolverines from 1976 to 1978. Chosen 44th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft, Turner passed up further college hockey and turned pro in 1978-79. He even got into one game with the Rangers that season. Turner retired in 1983.

He played college hockey for the Michigan Wolverines from 1976 to 1978. Chosen 44th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft, Turner passed up further college hockey and turned pro in 1978-79. He even got into one game with the Rangers that season. Turner was traded to the Colorado Rockies early in the 1979-80 season as part of the deal for Barry Beck. He played in 27 games for the Rockies in 1979-80, scoring his only NHL goal, and one more game in 1980-81. He signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres in 1981 and played the entire 1981-82 season with the Rochester Americans. He was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 1982 and played his last three NHL games with them in 1982-83. Turner retired in 1983.
