David McKay Publications was a book publisher in Philadelphia. It published a wide variety of books from 1882 to 1986 when it was bought by Random House. In the 30s they became a prolific publisher of comic book material. Mostly collections reprinting newspaper strips in book form. In 1931 they published The Adventures of Mickey Mouse the first published Disney Book, which was soon followed by other Disney books.
