Well, given that the month is half-over and no one has nominated an article yet, I'll renominate Macro since it keeps getting second place and I find that it's a good article and that it demonstrates that the RuneScape Wiki doesn't have a myopic view of seeing everything only within the confines of the in-game universe. --Diberville 21:59, 16 June 2008 (UTC) --File:Helm of neitiznot (charged).png Azaz129 File:Crystal shield.png Talk Edits Contribs 03:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Planeshifted 22:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC) * For. Very well-written, informative article. --Andorin (Talk) (Contribs) 22:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC) * Support per nom. --Drummer (speak) 22:42, 16 June 2008 (UTC) * OPPOSE I feel that this article being on the main page of the wiki for a month will make it look like we support such illegal activity. How many people will come here for the first time, see that as our main page, and just leave? I would if I were new.--Degenret01 05:20, 17 June 2008 (UTC) * OPPOSE Same reasons as other two; this focuses on an illegal aspect of the game (and also one which is largely part of the past now and not entirely relevant); I think the front page article should celebrate the good parts of the game, such as enjoyable minigames or raising skills Khalron 11:33, 17 June 2008 (UTC) * Oppose for reasons stated above. —Bufar (talk • contribs) forgot to sign this comment. * Support The atricle is well written, informative, and an important part of Runescape's history (to those who say that macros are irrelevant, look at your trade screen, try to give a gift to a friend, or try to pk. It is because of macroing that these updates occurred and we feel the repercussions to this day.). As far as I'm concerned, this article doesn't glorify macroing and therefore should not have its subject held against it. --File:Helm of neitiznot (charged).png Azaz129 File:Crystal shield.png Talk Edits Contribs 03:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC) Hello? The trade limitations are in effect because of Real world trading, not because of macroing. Planeshifted 14:55, 19 June 2008 (UTC) Macroing was an integral part of real world trading and without it the real world trading business would not have flourished.--File:Helm of neitiznot (charged).png Azaz129 File:Crystal shield.png Talk Edits Contribs 15:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC) * Comment - I'm not going to support or oppose but we need an article on Macroes. I don't think there is going to be someone searching the wiki for information on how to make a macro or bot. Just keep that in mind. 10:26, 19 June 2008 (UTC) Your comment is a self-contradiction. You say people won't look for an article on how to macro but then we need an article on how to macro...can you explain? Planeshifted 14:56, 19 June 2008 (UTC) The article is not about how to macro (though it contains basic information on how macro programs func.) it's about the different types of macroes, their effects, and Jagex's response.--File:Helm of neitiznot (charged).png Azaz129 File:Crystal shield.png Talk Edits Contribs 15:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC) Support - Macros are illegal, but the article isn't encouraging doing it. Macro is a good article, and it's better than other articles that have been featured. 18:06, 22 June 2008 (UTC) * OPPOSE a good article but, now after the december updates macros are a rareity, and we shouldn't put an article on the main page about them, this will in my opinion remind people about something that ought to be forgotten about and maybe even promote their use. I do miss macros in a way, prices have skyrocketed since the rwt removal, and the absence of macros, but i could see that their disadvantages outweighed their benefits. this should not be on the main page however. File:Green partyhat.png Bob2006ty(RUNESTORM333) talk File:Green partyhat.png 10:39, 23 June 2008 (UTC) * Oppose - It is a very well-written article, but just isn't relevant in my opinion since the december updates. File:Prayer-icon.png Matt File:Smite old.png|25px 02:58, 27 June 2008 (UTC) * Comment - I think this article could use a further change of focus leaning more towards the historic impact of macroing, especially considering the fact that the actual in-game impact of them has become virtually eliminated. Most of the article still has many echoes of the original writings pre-dating the December 10th "bot massacre", as such it reads a little awkward for me and perhaps other readers as well.
