Also this year Jokobos Henrius Atila independently in Britannia Inf. developed an excellent and simple mechanical trap for killing rats and mice. In the nomadic tribelands north of the Jurchen Empire, a boy of destiny is born named Temujin. 1913(1160) by now the Nanchao had conquered most of the southern half of what the Tang had once controlled. Obstructing total reunification stood the Suong Sinicans in the north east and the Jurchen even further north. There were also the Tuban Kingdoms and Kara Khitai in control of the far west but they could wait. After the last rearmament of the Legions, Rome, instead of selling most pilium and rifa to private merchants, sent them to the Nanchao at a token price of five Carici each when really it cost the military council 45 to buy, and the average manufacturer 20 to make. About 1.6 million were sold to them. Image:Asia 1913 1160.png At first putting down a Bangal revolt, the Nanchao annexed Assam and pressured the kingdom of Pagan into a protectorate status. The Nanchao immediately invaded the Suong in September and the war looked promising from the start, an Indian Legion was also sent to assist. 1915(1162) the Lebanto region of Africanus Australis becomes an autonomous province in attempts to stop the bushwacking by guerrillas on the legions in the province. Rome could have set forth its ancient policy of making a ‘desert of peace’ but ever since the Miasmata, working people were seen as more valuable than dead ones, also, the military’s public relations became dismal when any means necessary was taken to solve the problem of troublesome natives. Needless to say, even some citizens were beginning to find slavery distasteful. This caused a lot of brawls and assault. The Lebanto still have innumerable weapons and cause a lot of civil gun crimes. This leads to the Senate banning the selling of firearms to African natives, and Aficanus Australis begins trying to register pilium and rifa and restrict sale but there are simply too many guns in too many hands.
