  • Raiding is the term used by players in which when a group of players from the same company decide to attack and invade the opposing company and destroy as many ships as possible in an attempt for earning anything from rewards, to just having fun.
  • Raiding is currently the only form of PvP in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
  • Raiding is the stealing of other survivor's possessions, either by a sneaking and stealing method or by more violent means. Those who do this are known as raiders or bandits. It is the more bloodthirsty and aggressive way of gathering supplies, the other ways being looting and scavenging. It is suggested to avoid this as news may spread in the apocalypse of who you are.
  • Raiding is, essentially, scavenging during a fight. While it's usually smarter to loot a place after all resistance has been cleared out, that is sometimes not an option. Raiding is primarily used when players make gorilla style hit and run attacks in order to steal resources. Targets include trade caravans, defended resource deposits, or any bastion of civilization. For this reason, raiding is often practiced by the less reputable residents of the wasteland.

Ironborn also engage in raiding traditionally, though in their case raiding is also a religious activity. The ironborn feel that raiding is their right, and have rebelled against the Seven Kingdoms to have the freedom to do so, among other things. This rebellion is known as the Greyjoy Rebellion. It ultimately ended in Greyjoy defeat, cementing the rule of King Robert Baratheon, and resulting in Lord Balon Greyjoy's only surviving son and heir becoming a ward of House Stark of Winterfell and Robert's companion Ned. In times of war, factions also engage in raiding to deprive the enemy of resources.
