The 5th (Mhow) Cavalry Brigade was a brigade of the British Indian Army formed during the First World War. It was dispatched to the Western Front with the 2nd Indian Cavalry Division arriving 14 November 1914. Originally comprising one British and two Indian cavalry regiments, it gained a Machine Gun Squadron in 1916. The brigade was disbanded in 1918, the Indian units leaving France to take part in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign, while the British 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons remained in France joining the 7th Cavalry Brigade.
