Chesterland is an unincorporated census-designated place in Geauga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,646 at the 2000 census. "Chesterland" is also the name by which most of unincorporated Chester Township is known. It was adopted in the early 20th century when the Post Office insisted that one of the two communities in Ohio known as Chester change its name.
