The Royal Jewels are quest items from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. In total, there are four Jewels guarded by four Knights of Hyrule. The Knights and Royal Jewels are colored differently, each one a color of one of the four Link's tunics. Each Jewel is held in a Knight Mark that doubles as a Dark World portal. Once the Base Creature of Magic has been destroyed, the Jewel breaks free and the mark dissolves. One Jewel can be found at the end of each of the following stages: The Field, Kakariko Village, the Desert of Doubt and Frozen Hyrule. Interestingly, they bear resemblance to the four Elements found in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.
