  • The Sabre Ace is the fighter designated to Imperial pilot, Vasax Loraq. It is by and large a stock TIE Defender as there isn’t much room in the efficient starfighter design to improve upon it. However, to assist Vasax in his duties as coordinator for the Dark Star’s wing of starfighters, the Sabre Ace has been fitted with an improved sensor array to give him the most accurate information possible for a ship of the Ace’s size. The hull has also been reinforced and the shield generator tweaked to improve performance to help protect Vasax in battle since he has no designated squadron to back him up. If it’s possible to milk more performance out of the starfighter without putting dangerous stresses on the skimpy frame, the Dark Star’s technicians are sure to try and upgrade the Sabre Ace further in the future. An avid player of Sabacc, Vasax has named his fighter after his favorite card, the Ace of Sabres. The name carries a double meaning since Vasax long ago reached ace status in combat and, like a saber, Vasax is an elegant and dangerous weapon in battle while flying his starfighter.
