Who would have thought that Bachan, Cacy, Tecy and Gregory would not survive the terrible tsunami back in the homeland? Who could have thought that the day that Stacy got her first car would also be one of the worst days of her life? The group continues with more of salsa feel on Hello and Goodbye. Here, Camilo shows excessive amounts of percussive activity as well as rapid octave scale in his solo, with Lew Soloff showing off his range. The albums slows down a bit with Camilo's Ballad, Thinking of You. Even at this pace, Camilo still has a tendecy to whip out a accerating lick. The title track, Why Not?, became a Latin jazz standard after its release and was Camilo's first compositional success, although he would continue to remake the other tunes on this albums in more complex and intruiging compositions. Here, Camilo shows excessive amounts of percussive activity as well as rapid octave scale in his solo, with Lew Soloff showing off his range. The albums slows down a bit with Camilo's Ballad, Thinking of You. Even at this pace, Camilo still has a tendecy to whip out a accerating lick. The title track, Why Not?, became a Latin jazz standard after its release and was Camilo's first compositional success, although he would continue to remake the other tunes on this albums in more complex and intruiging compositions. After Camilo's virtuosic solo, Dave Weckl is given his time to shine before the tune completes itself with possibly the longest Coda ever written. Not Yet and Suite Sandrine are the more non-Latin type tunes on the album. The former is a more Fusion type tune, inspired by some of Chick Corea's compositions. The latter is the fifth and final movement in a jazz suite Camilo wrote for his wife, this one being bit modal and a bit of an awkward "note" to end the album on.

But most of all, who would have thought that the person to comfort and consol Stacy would not be her mom, her sister, or even her best friend? It wouldn't be her cousins or her friends. It would be her best friends boyfriend? / / / "Stacy, are you feeling any better?" Candace asked Stacy over the phone, hoping to cheer up her best friend. This was not one of those times. "Do I sound like I'm feeling better!" Stacy screamed over her mobile, "Some of my most beloved family members just got wiped out in a tsunami. They died a quick, agonizing death, and there was absolultly nothing I could do! And you think I would be feeling any better? You haven't faced anything like this today,Candace!"she finished her angry rant. Stacy seemed to be expecting silance, but that simply was not the case. "You think today has been an easy day for me?!?" Candace screamed back, even louder then Stacy did, "After your party, Jeremy told me he was in love with another girl! I lost my one and only chance at love, and you think that I really don't feel pain like you did? I don't even want to speak to you right now. Goodbye Stacy!!" Candace yelled as she pressed the end button on her phone. Stacy sat up on her bed, shocked. First her Bachan died, then her cousins, and then her friendship with Candace. Her drenched bed was about to get even wetter, as Stacy began to,litteraly, cry a river in her bedroom. And unlike the classic Cosby joke... She couldn't build a bridge, and she couldn't get over it... / / Two days have passed, and things have gotten worse. Stacy was still not talking to anyone, still crying, and she wasn't even eating. She just sat in her room all day, either crying uncontrolably or staring blankly at her bedroom wall. Her and Candace were still not on speaking terms, and Coltrain had moved out of town the day before... Her life sucked. To be continued... (This does not represent my work.
