| - Boogeyman is the twentieth episode of Season 1 of My Name Is Earl. Earl decides to cross off "made a kid scared of the Boogeyman" from his list. Earl soon discovers just what kind of lasting affect he had on the little boy.
- The Boogeyman, usually just called Boogey is a recurring villain in the show. He is the main antagonist in Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure as well as the true antagonist in Wrath of the Spider Queen (though he only appeared in flashbacks) and as spin-off in The Boogeyman Show. As his name implies, he is a professional Bogeyman. He also has his very own crew and pirate ship, Boogey Bay, as well as a law degree (but he is not a very good lawyer). - The Boogeyman is a mythical creature that frightens both children and adults in many cultures. The Boogeyman has no distinct appearance or shape and varies in the mind of the child who sees him. Boogeyman usually targets children who are mischievous and usually hid under the bed, stairs, closet or other dark spooky areas waiting for the right moment to strike. Parents use the Boogeyman usually to get children to behave if they are bad and say that he'll bite off their toes and fingers if they have them over the bed at night or thumbs if a child sucks their thumbs. In many other cases the Boogeyman is another nickname of the devil, but in most general terms the Boogeyman is a living embodiment of fear and terror and usually used to describe awful scary beings.

- Hey Leute, ihr kennt doch alle die Geschichten vom schwarzen Mann, diese Geschichten, die uns die Eltern früher erzählt haben, um uns Angst zu machen, in der ein schwarzer Mann unter unserem Bett hausen soll. Aber habt ihr euch schon mal gefragt, ob es Realität ist?! Ihr alle kennt das doch, wenn man im Bett liegt, Angst hat und in Gedanken immer wieder denkt, ob unter dem Bett wohl was ist. Aber woher kommt diese Vorstellung, wir wissen ALLE, es gibt keine Monster oder so... Aber WARUM glauben wir, wenn wir Angst haben, immer an so etwas?
