Reptilians, known also as Draconians, Reptiloids, Reptoids, Saurians, Sauroids, Lizardfolk, Lizardmen and Lizardpeople The Lizardfolk, refered to under many different names, are a race of reptilian humanoids based on the Reptilian Humanoid present in many mythologies. Whenever appearing in a major role, they are depicted as highly intelligent and powerful beings, keeping in tradition with their role in mythologic, pseudo-scientific and conspiracy-theoretic appearances. However, they are also present as minor foes: the aquatic Quappa, based on the Kappa of japanese mythology are minor foes in many installments. These Quappa are also related to the Sahuagin inspired by Dungeons&Dragons (or Sahagin, based on Final Fantasy). The Lizardfolk, which als has an appearance in Dungeons&Dragons: Neve

These Quappa are also related to the Sahuagin inspired by Dungeons&Dragons (or Sahagin, based on Final Fantasy). The Lizardfolk, which als has an appearance in Dungeons&Dragons: Neverwinter Nights, is depicted in Random Kingdom as the descendants of the Dinosaurs. Unlike the Dragons, which died defending planet earth from the impact of an huge Meteor, the Lizardfolk, also known as Reptiloids, Sauroids and other names, hid in underground vaults to escape the threat, founding the underground realm Shamballa. They are related to classical pantheons all over the world. Unlike the magical Dragons (and unlike the Lizardfolk in Dungeons&Dragons), the Lizardfolk are utterly without magic, but instead possess an advantage in evolution and knowledge 62 million years ahead of today's humanity. They are highly intelligent, spanning human society with conspiracy to further their goals, be they belligerent or malevolent. They also have highly developed technology, performing genetic modification on humans in humanity's ancient past, and are said to be capable of space-faring. There are also mixed-bloods of Lizardfolk and humans, either on natural basis or created by artificial means. How their relationship was with the dragons before they extinct (or at least lost power to the mammals) is unknown, but going by D&D, there should have been awful wars between them. Regarding the origin of the Lizardfolk, they are amongst the oldest species in Random Kingdom, easily outdating all elves, many alien species and even some gods. It should be noted that one version of Random Kingdom 3 claims them to be the race the Demons developed from (although, OOCly, at that time, I did not yet have the concept of the Reptilian Humanoid, I though Khan to be a descendant of the Dinosaurs). The version was dropped very quickly. , are a recurring race of humanoid reptiles, or reptiloid humans. There are different lineages of reptiloid humanoids in the world, and they differ in origin. Other reptiloids are hybrids of humans and reptiles produced by biocraft or humans transformed into quasi-reptilian form by spells or in a thaumic field. Consequently, reptiloids differ vastly in behaviour, culture and abilities - The reptilian aspect has bestowed upon all their kinds a susceptibility to Ice and resistance to Fire and Poison. Not in any way descended from humanity are a race of intelligent, bipedal saurids who evolved over the millions of terrestrial cycles of this dim primal age of which harken virtually all saurid bones we find - and to which they are all invariably dated -, before there were any humans. This kind of reptilian cannot be considered a human-reptile synthesis. Their existence is presented as quite expectable considering mammals took far less time to evolve into comparably highly-intelligent lifeforms. Reptilians have a general shape similar to that of humans (at least compared to quadruped animals and other more distantly related lifeforms), but this is due to convergent evolution, not any human admixture. Both their physiology and biology, however, are fundamentally different if viewed in detail. For example, they are digitigrades, possess thick tails and long snouts. Reptilian humanoids feature as a type of alien in popular culture, as well as being quite frequent in many fantasy settings, while being sparse in mythology and folklore. Their level of culture and technology varies widely, from primitive tribes to spacefaring high-tech societies. In intelligence, they seem to be comparable to humans, perhaps however with a little bit less of some emotions and instincts and a little bit more of others. Their origin in Random Kingdom is almost invariably that they are the intelligent descendants of dinosaurs, having evolved to this form (along with dragons) and then having gone into hiding upon the end of the dinosaur era. Sometimes, their "hiding place" was outer space, but it may also be the inside of the earth (cf. Hollow Earth) or the depth of the jungle, or any combination thereof. In fantasy settings, they usually play a larger role in world politics and are well-known, at least as myth, and considered to be real, even if not immedeately known to most of the human population. Serpentoid therians are a subtype of reptilians. They present as a mix of humanoid and serpentine features. The variants of this depiction found in mythology and fiction are almost exclusively of a female upper body portion and a serpentine tail in place of legs. This type occasionally overlaps with the mermaid configuration of having a fish tail found below under #Piscine, such as in the Melusine, which has a serpentine or piscine lower body, varying through related folklore. From the ancient myths of Greece, we know of many serpents more mighty and dreadful than the snakes we ordinarily know. frequently exhibit this pattern (male ones are apparently simply giant snakes in original greek conception, and not similar to today's bi- or quadrupedal depiction of dragon in any aspect but their reptilian nature), but may also include features from other creatures. Other creatures, often gigantes, from greek mythology also exhibit a mixture of human and serpentine features. They play central roles to the plot in Earth V and Earth VI and monsters that can be classified as members of this race, or group of races, appear in multiple other installments. * Class: Warrior, Ranger, Dragoon, Beastmaster, White Mage, Black Mage, Summoner, Necromancer, Navigator
