| - I woke up to the voice of a girl. "Hey!" the girl called out. "You awake yet?" When I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see a cute pink cat with a pale yellow complexion. "Where am I?" I asked. She sighed. "In the middle of a field on the outskirts of Charm Village. Don't you know that already? Wait, where are my manners? My name is Flora De la Kittney," she said. "I'm a Skitty." "What's a Skitty?" I asked. The moonlight only made her cuter. "A Skitty is a type of Pokemon. Just like you being a Shinx," she said. Then, I looked at myself, and saw something shocking. I had black hind legs, blue fur, and a black tail with a yellow star-shape thingy at the end. Woah. Overload. "My name is Alex Luce," I said. "Well then, Alex Luce, may Arceus protect you," she said. I saw myself staring at her face. She was pretty, I gotta admit. "What's a Pokemon?" I asked her. "A Pokemon is a creature with amazing powers, and blah-blah-blah," she answered. "Huh? What the... run!" she told me. I, naturally, started running. "What am I running from?" I asked. "Drapion!" she told me. My instincts won over. I turn around and said, "Tackle!" and I immediately tackled it with a lot of force. It lost its balance for awhile, but it rose again, saying, "Get back here!" As we ran away, it jabbed at me with its stinger and I got stung, and I felt poisoned. It hurt so bad, I screamed. "Come on!" Flora shouted. We reached a village. "C'mon. I got an herb that will heal that cut of yours. You can stay at my house," said Flora. I was tired, so that must have been the safest option. As we approached her house, I saw most of the houses were dark. Then, we found her house. It looked like it was woven from hay. It seemed stable enough. As we entered, I caught a glimpse of Flora's room. It had pictures of her family, the De La Kittneys. Looks like she loved them. "This is your room," Flora said, pointing toward an empty room. "It's usually a guest room, but you can have it for now." I stayed up all night thinking about what I should do. I decided to stay there, with Flora, so that later, she could show me around.
