You and Buddy are eating at Chef Gino's restaurant, and you are chatting with Buddy about one day becoming a special agent for the SPA. All of a sudden, Poppy comes into the restaurant, calling for your help. You ask Poppy what's wrong, and she tells you that a "mean man" has taken her dog and claimed that it was his. You eagerly take this case, hoping it'll be your big break. Poppy asks you to meet her outside at the park.

You and Buddy are eating at Chef Gino's restaurant, and you are chatting with Buddy about one day becoming a special agent for the SPA. All of a sudden, Poppy comes into the restaurant, calling for your help. You ask Poppy what's wrong, and she tells you that a "mean man" has taken her dog and claimed that it was his. You eagerly take this case, hoping it'll be your big break. Poppy asks you to meet her outside at the park. Once arriving to the park, you see Poppy, a small black dog, and a man named Morcubus. You ask Poppy about the situation. Poppy says she was minding her own business, pruning her flowers, but then when she turned around, she saw Morcubus had stolen her dog, who she claims is called Dogwood. Morcubus denies this, saying that the dog is his, and that his name is Killfang, following up his claim with evil maniacal laughter. Poppy believes that Morcubus is lying, saying that she always had Dogwood/Killfang with her, up until Morcubus had stolen him. Morcubus walks a little, and Dogwood/Killfang follows him. Morcubus then notes this, saying that Dogwood/Killfang has been his since "the dawn of time", then following up the claim with more maniacal laughter. Poppy claims that she knows "Dogwood" the best, saying that he loves his pink squishy ball. You ask whether you can use this ball that Poppy mentions and test her claim, however, Poppy says that she lost the ball somewhere in the park. You decide to take care of this case and determine whether Poppy or Morcubus owns the ball.
