The Guardian is a boss from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. It is the first boss fought, after the coming-of-age ceremony in the Forest. He can only be picked up by the player if they have Arm Boost Lv2 or higher. Sometimes, when stomping on his head, he will be knocked out. The player should use this to their advantage and attack. He may have a slight chance of being knocked out when the player attacks his legs from the back. If the player is on his head, he may attack with a shockwave caused by smashing his arms together.

| - The Guardian is a boss from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. It is the first boss fought, after the coming-of-age ceremony in the Forest. He can only be picked up by the player if they have Arm Boost Lv2 or higher. He is fought twice, both in the Forest's region. On the first fight, he is relatively slow and easy to beat. He will charge and shoot a long-range beam, spin his arms around or smash his arm into the ground to attack. When he does the latter, jump onto his arm, then his head and repetitively stomp (Selkies can instantly double-jump onto his head). After a certain amount of damage - usually the first few hits - the mask will come off, revealing the weak point. Sometimes, when stomping on his head, he will be knocked out. The player should use this to their advantage and attack. He may have a slight chance of being knocked out when the player attacks his legs from the back. If the player is on his head, he may attack with a shockwave caused by smashing his arms together. The second fight, after the second part of the Forest and before the Ruined Village, has him more damaging, dangerous and faster. In addition to his old attacks, he has a wider long-range beam, and a quick chain combo of frantic smashing that is very likely to kill the player. Use the same strategy as before, but be extremely careful not to be hit by his attacks.
