- Morgan Jones is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is the husband of Jenny and father of Duane. While evacuating, Jenny was bitten and succumbed to the infection, causing Morgan and Duane to seek refuge in King County, Georgia, where the Grimes Family lived. After the loss of his son (who was bitten by Jenny), Morgan was living a life in denial, hoping to redeem himself by killing the invasive walkers. At the end of "No Sanctuary", it is revealed that Morgan has partly redeemed himself and is on a journey to find Terminus before Rick's altered sign turns him away until he stumbles upon Daryl Dixon and Aaron who bring Morgan to the Alexandria Safe-Zone where he is reunited with his long lost friend, Rick Grimes.

- In the TV series Morgan is a loving and devoted father trying to keep his son Duane alive in Rick's hometown in Georgia after the apocalypse occurs and is the first survivor Rick encounters, in the pilot episode, after awakening from his coma. After saving his life from a walker Morgan tells Rick about the outbreak and they part ways with the intention of reuniting in Atlanta but the two men lose contact. In season 3 Morgan is revealed to be alive when Rick encounters him on a supply run but has become mentally unstable as Duane was killed by Morgan's undead wife, and refuses to rejoin Rick's group insisting he needs to stay and clear the town of walkers. In season 5 Morgan recovers from his mental break, the story of which is elaborated upon in season 6, and learns that Rick is in Virgini
- Jones co-starred with Dick Miller in the latter's film debut, Roger Corman's Apache Woman, in 1955. The following year, he had a supporting role in the classic science fiction film Forbidden Planet, opposite Warren Stevens and George D. Wallace. The next year, he starred in another sci-fi classic, Corman's Not of This Earth, and he made an uncredited appearance in Until They Sail, directed by Robert Wise and starring Jean Simmons. And in 1959, Jones and TOS star George Takei had uncredited roles in the war drama Never So Few, which also featured fellow TOS guest-stars John Hoyt and Whit Bissell.
