- P.O.D., iniciais de Payable On Death, é unha banda de hard rock estadounidense procedente de San Diego, California. A banda está formada polo vocalista Sonny Sandoval, o baterista Wuv Bernardo, o guitarrista Marcos Curiel e o baixista Traa Daniels.

(Partito Odontoiatrici Democratici), un progetto musicale di altissimo livello, dedicato a Walter Veltroni. Nel 1994 si aggiunse ai tre Jack Daniels, che affermò subito di essere un barista, ma venne reclutato al basso elettrico, inizialmente per un concerto. In seguito finì per sostituire in pianta stabile tal Portillo, il cui nome apparve nel demo del 1992, come barista ufficiale della band. I P.O.D. firmarono per l’etichetta Puffi Records, nota per reclutare esclusivamente band di chiara ispirazione satanica e malvagia, e per essa nel 1994 registrarono in studio Sniff the Punk (pensavano che il punk fosse Cocaina)e Harry Potter and the fired calicix (1996). Nel 1997 rilasciarono un album live, che raccoglieva brani eseguiti dal vivo in un cimitero sconsacrato, di fronte a due zombie, unici testimoni dell'evento. Un anno dopo firmarono per la Papaboy records, per la quale cominciarono a produrre album destinati a cartoni giappocinesi per omosessuali.

Sein Ersatz Jason Truby, ehemals Living Sacrifice verabschiedete sich hingegen aus Gründen die nichts mit Marcos zu tun hätten POD veröffentlichten 1994 das Album Snuff the Punk und 1996 das Album Brown, doch erst mit der Warriors EP und dem '99 erschienem Album The Fundamental Elements of Southtown erreichten sie größere Erfolge. Das 2001 erschiene Satellite traff direkt den damals entbrannten Nu Metal-Hype und machte sie weltbekannt. Seither erschien 2003 ein Album, das schlicht den Namen der Band trug, eine zweite Version der Warriors EP, und 2006 das Album Testify. Ende 2006 besiegelte ein Greatest Hits Album den Labelwechsel und Mitte 2007 soll nun ein neues, das nun 6. Studioalbum erscheinen
