When you log in again you return to your start location without inventory or equipment which remains in the death room. Death rooms often have descriptive names warning of their nature and adjoining rooms may contain information regarding what lies within them. As they result in loss of equipment, death rooms are not compatible with games where valuable equipment plays a role. 7 Degrees of Freedom, an AberMUD, has modified its coding to prevent entry into death rooms.
