Val can’t resist pushing it and asks if she can stay for one more night as she’ll be in court tomorrow. Diane is adamant that she must leave and Val is forced to spend her last night of freedom on the factory floor. Steph chooses to stay alone rather than be with Alan. Adam asks her to stop blaming himself and tries to show her support, sending her into a rage. She mocks him and tells him to stay away, she feels nothing for him, and anyone who gets close to her gets hurt. After he leaves, she crumples to the floor in tears.
