James Oscar Green, Jr. was an officer in the United States Army during World War I. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions during the Battle of Château-Thierry (1918). His award citation reads: Green was born in Hillsdale, Michigan, his home of record was Whitewater, Wisconsin. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1917. Green died on December 13, 1937.
