Mark Dominik (born 1971) is the current general manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League.   • Mark Dominik (born 1971) is the current general manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. Dominik attended the University of Kansas where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. Dominik replaced former GM Bruce Allen on January 17, 2009. Dominik joined the Buccaneers’ staff in June 1995 as a pro personnel assistant. He served in that capacity through the 1997 season, before assuming the title of pro scout in 1998 and coordinator of pro personnel in 2000. Prior to the start of the 2001 season, Dominik began the first of his eight years as Tampa Bay’s Director of Pro Personnel. In 2002, Dominik helped guide the Buccaneers to their first world championship in their Super Bowl XXXVII victory over the Oakland Raiders. As Director of Pro Personnel, Dominik's duties included overseeing the scouting, recruiting and signing efforts of all NFL players, while also monitoring NFL transactions and overseeing player tryouts. He was also in charge of the Pro Personnel department’s evaluation of players in all other professional football leagues, including the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League, while being responsible for the negotiation and signing of contracts for several free agents and NFL Draft signings. Since taking over as General Manager of the Buccaneers in 2009, Dominik has led the team to a 24-40 record, compiling three losing seasons around one 10-6 season. Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Dominik joined Tampa Bay after spending a year and a half working in both the college and pro personnel departments of the Kansas City Chiefs. Dominik holds a bachelor of science degree in sports management from the University of Kansas. Dominik and his wife, Amy, currently live in Tampa with their young children, Davis, Emerson and Avery.
