The Dieghanists was a sociopolitical group formed on planet Mariposa in 2367, after the Bringloidi people were rejoined with the Mariposans. Named after Liam Dieghan, the Dieghanists considered themselves the defenders of the Neo-Transcendentalism movement he had started, and separated themselves from the technology-dependent colony. The Dieghanists differed from their predecessors by portraying Nature as a punishing force which would take vengeance on their opponents with disasters such as storms, floods, quakes, and plagues.
