| - Link, a young Kokiri is unusual out of the other Kokiris. He has no guardian fairies while the rest of the Kokiri has one. The Great Deku Tree summons a fairy called Navi to go to Link. Navi then takes Link to the Great Deku Tree but the Kokiri leader, Mido won't let him pass unless Link is equipped with a shield and sword. Link then equips himself and Mido then lets him pass. The Great Deku Tree sends Link and Navi into his body and Link saves him. The Great Deku Tree then dies and Link then escapes to the Hyrule Castle where he finds Princess Zelda who tells him about Ganondorf. After completing two other dungeons and collecting the two other Spiritual Stones, Link and Navi go back to Hyrule Castle where Zelda with a woman called Impa escaping on horseback. They are then followed by Ganondorf. Zelda then telepathically teaches Link the "Song of Time". When Link plays it to the Door of Time and releases the Master Sword, but Link is too young to become the legendary Hero of Time, so he is then put into a slumber and sent to the Chamber of the Sages. Ganondorf uses this scene to steal the Triforce of Power. Link then awakens and is shocked to see that he has aged seven years and is now a teenager. He also finds out that Ganondorf has taken over Hyrule, making it a wasteland. Link is then sent back to the Temple of Time, where a mysterious human called Sheik tells him to awaken the Six Sages. Sheik then teaches Link teleporting songs when he reaches a temple. After awakening the Sage of the Forest, who is Saria, Link then finds out that he is a Hylian and that Kokiris never age. Link then finally awakes the Six Sages and goes back to the Temple of Time, where Sheik meets him, who proceeds to say that Link holds the Triforce of Courage and that Zelda holds the Triforce of Wisdom. Sheik then transforms into Zelda, which reveals that Zelda was Sheik all along. Zelda apologises to Link for going into hiding and that it was her fault that Hyrule is a wasteland, since Ganondorf couldn't find her. Ganondorf then suddenly appears and kidnaps Zelda, and gloatingly challenges Link to a duel in his castle. Link then goes to the Hyrule Castle which Ganondorf has made as his own. Link defeats him with the help of Zelda, destroying the castle in the process. Ganondorf emerges from the rubble of the castle as a monster. Link then defeats him again. The Six Sages then lock Ganondorf in the Sacred Realm. Ganondorf swears to kill Link's descendants if he manages to escape from the Sacred Realm. Zelda and Link are over the sky in Hyrule. Zelda says that she will send Link back in time to relive the seven years of his life he missed and return the Master Sword. Zelda plays Zelda's Lullaby and Link is sent back to seven years ago. After placing the Master Sword back in it's pedestral Navi then parts ways with Link and Hyrule goes back to normal.
