Fotset is a town in the southern region of Amestris near the national border with the neighboring country of Aerugo. It is believed that it was an Aerugonian territory before Amestris conducted an attack to extend its borders and as a result, since May of 1911, Fotset is currently embroiled in a violent border struggle between the two nations (putting this event as the Second Southern Border Conflict, once the first one happened in October of 1835). As part of the Nationwide Transmutation Circle, the increasing death toll in Fotset is a consequence of Central Command's interference on behalf of the Homunculi. After Colonel Roy Mustang's group is forcibly disbanded by Central Command, Master Sergeant Kain Fuery is reassigned to Southern Headquarters before being sent to the front lines in F
