Fredrik Oduya (b. May 31st 1975 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a former professional Swedish defenceman of Kenyan origin. A fierce player who had a taste for fighting, Oduya was dafted 154th overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks following a junior hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League with the Guelph Storm and the Ottawa 67's, Oduya bounced back and forth between the American Hockey League and the International Hockey League between 1995 and 2000 before retiring, due to back pain. He would make a comeback in 2004 with HC Örebro, Vallentuna BK and Uppsala Hockey, then the following two seasons with the Edinburgh Capitals, Nybro IF, Vallentuna and the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League.
