| - Paul Parks is a former NASCAR driver from Columbus, OH. He competed in thirteen Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Parks' initial season came during 1950, when he finished 44th in the year end points. Despite an engine problem that left Parks 20th at Langhorne, Parks quickly proved he had talent. Despite a 32nd place finish at Hamburg, Parks earned four top-seventeen finishes during the year. His best run of the year, not to mention his career, came at Dayton where Parks finished sixth. But he was also impressive with a 12th place finish in a deep field at Langhorne and a 17th in his first trip down south to North Wilkesboro.

Parks then only made one start during the 1951 season, competing at Toledo. It was a tough return for Parks, who only managed a 23rd place finish in the field of thirty-three. Parks' next race, which came in 1953 at Columbus didn't go so well either for the driver. Starting 23rd, Parks only lasted thirty-three laps before severe overheating issues left him 25th. Parks' next hiatus lasted until 1960, when he broke out to compete in the Speedweeks festivies down at Daytona. Despite an underwhelming 28th place finish in the Daytona 500 Qualifier Twin, Parks transferred into the 500, where he finished 37th. Parks also tacked on an 18th place finish at Charlotte to close out the year. Parks finally made two starts during the 1961 season to close out his career. Once again, they came during the Speedweeks events, with Parks finishing 25th in the Qualifier race to make the 500. In the 500, though, Parks struggled and ultimately ended his final career race in 32nd place.
