Of these, only Haall is inhabited by an original populace, and only Haall can be conclusively identified. For a discussion of the identity of Earth, see Earth (SLD). Most of these worlds have been renamed. A small colony of a religious sect, the Shatists, now lives on a world now known as Jahannam. Other worlds also have names evocative of their unpleasant state: Oblivion, Vitric, and Atkonartok. The two worlds not likely to be Earth are discussed under Other Heartland Worlds.
