Each extra is about 20-40 seconds long. The majority of them appear to be rendered clips of the original episodes; parodies to some extent. Another example includes Rena trying to stop her skirt from flying up, as she is not wearing any underwear. And another extra has Rika grabbing Mion's breasts with an almost obsessed facial expression.

Each extra is about 20-40 seconds long. The majority of them appear to be rendered clips of the original episodes; parodies to some extent. The origin of these 'Specials' is unknown but most likely they came with the Japanese 'Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai' box set. These extras seem rather pointless (but being extras, they are not meant to contribute anything to the overall Higurashi plot). Extra #1 features a grown-up Rena advising Ōishi about insurance policies. Another example includes Rena trying to stop her skirt from flying up, as she is not wearing any underwear. And another extra has Rika grabbing Mion's breasts with an almost obsessed facial expression.
