The Dreadness sword is one of the most powerful swords in RuneScape. Unlike most of the Dominion Tower equipment, it does not degrade and it can be used inside and outside of the Dominion Tower. It is obtained after defeating 1000 bosses in the Dominion Tower and trading an unused Dominion sword in order to obtain it. The Dreadness sword requires 95 Attack to wield and it does 25% more damage when fighting quest monsters/bosses. It is the first sword with over 200 strength bonus and it increases to 250 when you have 99 Attack.

The Dreadness sword has a special attack in which it summons an Elite dreadnip (level 1120) and hits 5 times before disappearing. It looks exactly like the Dominion sword. During the quest The Great God War, you see one of the level 138 warriors holding the Dreadness sword as he attacks and kills the Unpowered god (level 134054).
