Many famous fans of WFMU exist, too -- They Might Be Giants are constantly doing stuff with them, the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players have been on often, and cartoonist Chris Ware has contributed a t-shirt design, among many, many others. Of course -- you might be asking why you should care about some New Jersey Radio Station. Well, aside from the fact that they offer streams and podcasts of their shows, they've got a KICKASS blog, which is, like the station, freeform, but tends to be mostly about music. And they post LOADS of mp3s -- a lot of them really rare, and a lot of them really awesome. They also keep all of them online, so you can browse their On The Download page for such stuff as an early version of "The Paw-Paw Negro Blowtorch" by Brian Eno or Chris Morris' brilliant Pixies parody "Motherbanger".
