Thull Mardu was the capital city of Mishrak ac Thull, one of the Angarak Kingdoms on the Western continent. The site of the Battle of Thull Mardu, the city became almost incidental in the chain of events. The armies of Emperor Kal Zakath of Mallorea and King Taur Urgas of Cthol Murgos clashed here as Princess Ce'Nedra's army attempted to take the city as a ploy to distract the Angarak armies from pursuing Belgarion. It was described by General Varana, later Emperor Ran Borune XXIV of Tolnedra, as being situated on an island in the midst of a river, like Tol Honeth. King Urgit, High King of Cthol Murgos, described it as a "dungheap".
