Thomas Joseph Polanic (born April 2, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He played junior hockey for the St. Michael's Majors from 1960 to 1962, winning the Memorial Cup in 1961. Then he spent three years at the University of Michigan where he was an all-star in 1963-64 and 1964-65. He played 19 games in the National Hockey League for the North Stars in the 1969-70 and 1970-71 seasons, scoring 2 assists. After that season Polanic played senior hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association until his retirement in 1977.

  • Thomas Joseph Polanic (born April 2, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He played junior hockey for the St. Michael's Majors from 1960 to 1962, winning the Memorial Cup in 1961. Then he spent three years at the University of Michigan where he was an all-star in 1963-64 and 1964-65. A Toronto Maple Leafs farmhand, Polanic turned pro in 1965-66 and spent that year and the next in the Toronto system. In 1967, the Leafs sold him to the Phoenix Roadrunners of the Western Hockey League. In turn, the Roadrunners traded him to the Minnesota North Stars in February, 1969. He played 19 games in the National Hockey League for the North Stars in the 1969-70 and 1970-71 seasons, scoring 2 assists. After that season Polanic played senior hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association until his retirement in 1977.
