The Mutant is the boss of Monkey Lane Easy. The Mutant was a bloon that went through a bloon transformation procedure which allows a bloon type to morph with another bloon type. The Mutant was originally two seperate bloons. A zebra and a lead. After the process though, the two bloons combined to create a metallic bloon with white and black stripes surrounding it. The bloon was then named "The Mutant" and was put up against a series of tests to see it's new abilites. After thourough testing, they found that fire, ice and sharp objects would not damage the bloon. After the MOAB V2 failed at Monkey Lane, the Mutant was instructed to attack again. Before it's attack, it was given camo status. It contains 4 black bloons and 4 white bloons. It takes 10 hits to pop.

| - The Mutant was a clone, grown on the planet Xanadu by the robot Grunwalder from the cells of the deceased psychic Owen Krysler, the Judge Child. After growing to maturity in 2120 the monstrous clone travelled to Earth and Mega-City One and began to take revenge on the Judges for the death of the Judge Child, first killing Judge Joseph Dredd and turning him into a zombie and then conquering the city, turning it into a Hellish place of vampire Judges, monsters and the unquiet dead. This was the horror which had been predicted in 2112 by the clairvoyant Judge Feyy, which had caused the Judges to seek out Krysler in the first place. Then, an earlier version of Dredd, accompanied by Judge Anderson, arrived from 2107 in the time capsule Proteus and discovered the nightmare. Unable to defeat the mutant, Dredd travelled back to his own time and instead aborted the entire timeline by ordering the execution of both the Grunwalder and his still immature mutant clone. The Mutant's entire adult existence was effectively erased from history.
