  • The Flight Control Platform is a location from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It is an artificial floating island located off the coast of Dragon Roost Island. It has a small tower built on top of it, with small updrafts spinning off shore. The island is where the annual Bird-Man Contest, run by Obli and Willi, is held. The main goal of the contest is to fly as far as one can from the island. When Link enters the competition, he must use the Deku Leaf to fly into the small updrafts off of the island, using it to fly as far as he can. If he can manage to become the current record holder in the event, he wins himself a Piece of Heart. To help Link accomplish this task, he can first rescue the Great Fairy around Two-Eye Reef by defeating the nearby Big Octo. Once he has done this, the Great Fairy will reward him by doubling the length of his Magic Meter. Alternatively, Link can use the Tingle Tuner's Green or Blue Ting to refill his Magic Meter mid-flight.
